Our newest Komondor puppies have arrived on August 23rd, 2009 out of our wonderful mom, Julka and our handsome stud, Bundi.
Both parents have excellent conformation, bite, and great personality. They were both imported from Hungary, from champion bloodlines.
This is our favorite breeding pair, as they produce excellent quality puppies with wonderful temperament. Both parents are actively guarding our alpacas, so they are outside 24/7. Although we have coyotes and mountain lions around us,
we are glad to say, that neither of them caused any trouble since we have our komondorok.
These puppies are healthy, and growing nicely. Mom has plenty of milk and is taking good care of her little ones very nicely. They will be available for pick-up or shipping on October 18 or after.
The pups will be dewormed, up to date with shots, and come with a health guarantee.
Please check back frequently for new puppy pictures.
Komondors - Komondorok in hungarian - are property and livestock guardian dogs (LGD), they do their duty naturaly, without any special training requirement. Early socialization however is highly recommended, even a a must if they are kept in a people-environment.
They are just magnificent! The King of Dogs.
They grow to about 100-120 lbs. Their beautiful ivory coat grows down to the ground over the years, and form long dreadlocks or cords. The komondors have two different kinds of cords.
The traditional "ribbon-like" cords felted to about an inch wide, very hard cords that give excellent protection to the dog against the most serious predators.
Some komondors have the softer, pencil cords, that are more pleasant to the eye and touch, but not as strong as the ribbons are.
